Charles Koning is a Sussex-based artist who has lived and worked in Pembrokeshire. He graduated with a B A in Fine Art from Brighton University and did his M A at Cyprus College of Art. Of Dutch and English parentage, he grew up in Indonesia and South America. He places his artistic concerns within this international context. He founded and curated the series of ‘Territory’ shows in the mid-1990s; exhibiting at the Mall Galleries, in London; at the Castle Ditch Gallery in Lewes; and at the Phoenix Gallery in Brighton. He has work in private collections in Australia, the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Canada and the Ukraine.
